The Mechanical Engineer is responsible to oversee, maintain, and optimize all mechanical systems across the private estate, including HVAC, pumps, water systems, swimming pool equipment, fire protection, and utility infrastructure. The Mechanical Engineer ensures all systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in alignment with luxury living standards, technical requirements, and UAE regulations, while providing expert support for projects, upgrades, and routine operations.
JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered with the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) (mandatory).
- Professional certifications in HVAC, Chiller Maintenance, Fire Fighting Systems, or MEP Maintenance (preferred).
- Valid UAE Driving License (preferred).
- 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in luxury residential, private estates, hospitality, or villa projects in the UAE or GCC.
- Solid background in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical utility systems, and water circulation equipment.
- Experience managing service providers, project installations, and energy-saving initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
HVAC & Mechanical Systems
- Expert knowledge of central and split AC systems, chillers, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- Ensuring optimal indoor air quality, cooling efficiency, and climate control in villas and service buildings.
- Monitoring and maintaining compressors, air handlers, ductwork, and controls.
Water Systems & Utilities
- Maintaining and troubleshooting pumps, water filtration systems, hot water systems, and booster sets.
- Ensuring reliability and safety of domestic water supply, sewage, and greywater recycling systems.
- Supervising installation and maintenance of swimming pool, spa, and fountain systems.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical assets.
- Diagnosing issues and performing or coordinating urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
- Managing mechanical asset inventory and spare parts requirements.
Fire Fighting & Safety Systems
- Familiarity with FM200, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and pressurization systems.
- Ensuring systems meet UAE Civil Defense standards and are regularly tested and certified.
Project Supervision & Technical Review
- Reviewing technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for estate expansions or refurbishments.
- Supporting mechanical scope during new installations and fit-out works.
- Liaising with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance and delivery.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensuring all systems align with UAE mechanical codes, municipality guidelines, and health & safety standards.
- Preparing reports, maintenance logs, inspection checklists, and asset condition assessments.
Soft Skills & Estate Standards
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially within a confidential and high-profile estate environment.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering discreet and high-quality service in occupied villas.
- Ability to work under pressure, respond to emergencies, and adapt to evolving estate needs.
