Medical Assistant

A health services network in New York City is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to play a crucial role at one of its facilities in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)
• Setting: Breast Cancer Center

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring patient arrival and coordinating patient flow
• Escorting patients to examination rooms and assisting with preparation
• Performing pre-visit planning and communicating with care teams
• Preparing rooms and assisting physicians during examinations
• Maintaining records and patient confidentiality
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• High School Diploma / GED
• Medical Assistant (MA) certification
• Proficiency with EMR Systems
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of OBGYN experience
• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
• CPR certification
• EKG and Phlebotomy certifications
• Bilingual
