Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe

Medical clinic looking for a personable, hard-working, and detail-oriented medical assistant/medical scribe who is able to work well in a physician-led team setting in coordination with a physician-led team.

Job Highlights:

• Assist physician in electronic charting by recording the documentation of an accurate and complete patient history, review of systems based on patient-physician interactions, physical exam and clinical impression based on a physician’s dictation
• Assist in the work up of patients and prepare rooms prior to physician exam
• Assist in minor procedures
• Verify patient's insurance eligibility and benefits
• Refill prescriptions with physician's approval
• Review post-operative instructions with patients
• Check in/out and schedule patient appointments with a friendly, positive attitude
• Promptly answer all incoming calls with proper telephone etiquette
• Follow the copay collections process and ensuring collection of payments from patients
• Ensure efficient flow consistent with the clinic service standards by communicating to patients in a professional and respectful manner

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, office staff
• Preferred: bilingual in Mandarin/Cantonese and/or Vietnamese and/or Spanish
• Punctual and have ability to multitask well under pressure
• Be familiar and competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, acrobat and EHR systems
• Previous medical experience highly preferred
• Willingness to learn and improve

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
