Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe

Duties

• Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health record (EHR) systems during exams and procedures
• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs
• Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray coordination, and basic life support (BLS) protocols
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for outpatient and inpatient visits
• Record ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding details for billing and documentation purposes
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, managing appointment flow, and ensuring comfort during visits

Requirements

• Prior experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or hospital settings is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
• Experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding practices
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, and X-ray coordination
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and team collaboration

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
