Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including detailed notes on patient history, examination findings, and treatment plans.
• Gather comprehensive patient information through intake procedures, including recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
• Support clinical workflows by preparing patients for examinations, administering medications as directed, and assisting with procedures like X-ray or minor surgical interventions.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medication administration protocols to ensure precise documentation and effective communication.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or familiarity with podiatry care is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Knowledge of EHR systems ( Modernizing Medicine )and medical administrative support processes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding and medication administration enhances your ability to excel in this role.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; excellent communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
