Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe to join our busy cardiology practice. Previous cardiology office experience is preferred, but not required. Scribing experience/fast, detailed typing experience greatly preferred. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and provides compassionate, professional patient care. The ideal candidate is responsible, dependable, and prioritizes work as much as our medical providers. As an MA/ Scribe, you play a vital role in our office.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Perform EKGs
• Check pacemakers and defibrillators
• Assist with treadmill stress testing and Holter monitor placement
• Retrieve test results and prepare patient charts in the EMR system (eClinicalWorks)
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
• Clean and prepare exam rooms after each patient visit
• Scribe for providers when needed

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Prior cardiology experience is a plus
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks, is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume office
• Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with the team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
