Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify patient information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (Eclinical Works).
- Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit accurately to support clinical assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking their vital signs as well as phlebotomy, injections and performing EKG's.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, coordinate follow-up visits, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols related to hospital experience and Level I trauma center standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting medical teams in internal medicine setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.
- Strong familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management; clinic experience is highly valued.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate CLEARLY and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics.
- Ability to perform intake assessments and measure vital signs accurately.
- Strong phlebotomy skills.
Pay: $22.97 - $27.66 per hour
