Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical documentation.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, including data entry, updates, and retrieval of patient information.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing supplies and documenting clinical notes in accordance with medical documentation standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
• Support the medical team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to accurately capture clinical details.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and providers by providing clear instructions and answering basic questions about procedures or forms.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a medical office or clinical environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems is essential for efficient documentation management.
• Experience with medical transcription, typing skills, and writing clear, detailed notes is required.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance policies and clinical confidentiality standards is necessary to protect patient information.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology enhances accuracy in documentation and patient interaction.
• Previous emergency room experience or exposure to fast-paced clinical settings will be advantageous for handling diverse patient needs confidently.
