Medical Biller/Coder

Seeking a proficient candidate to join our growing organization. This position is responsible for billing Pathology and Molecular Laboratory charges to Insurance, Client and Patient. Review of CPT Codes and ICD-10 Codes to ensure proper coding in Laboratory Information System prior to sending to Billing System. We offer competitive compensation and a great work environment. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Proper Coding for clean claims-Complying with medical coding guidelines
• Posting Charges
• Insurance Verification
• Client Detail Reporting
• Achieve goals set forth by supervisor regarding error-free work, transactions, processes and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Training/Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must have 2+ years in a healthcare billing role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT Codes and ICD-10 Codes
• Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies
• Extensive knowledge on use of email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use payer websites; knowledge of and use of Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel. Use of computer systems, preferred experience with Kareo/Tebra and various billing systems.
• Effective communication abilities with team members and outside customers and Clients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time
