Duties

• Safely operate vehicles such as shuttle vans, to transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking vehicles, providing compassionate support and ensuring their comfort during transit
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and performance
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and patients to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns
• Manage heavy lifting of mobility aids or medical equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition reports
• Uphold professionalism and excellent customer service standards at all times, creating a positive experience for every passenger

Experience

• A clean driving record
• Experience operating vans or commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures related to transporting mobility aids or medical equipment
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, medical staff, and team members effectively
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills
• Prior experience in customer service roles that require patience, empathy, and professionalism is highly valued
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license) with relevant endorsements if applicable

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
