Medical Records Paralegal

Large medical malpractice firm in Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a medical records paralegal to assist with medical record retrieval. Primary duties include preparing medical record authorization forms, ordering medical records from facilities across the country, following up on requested records , and saving those records to the internal database. This position offers room for growth with adding the responsibility of organizing and bates stamping complex and voluminous medical records.

Ideal candidate must have excellent organization skills, be a team player, have exceptional oral and written communication skills, and possess intermediate computer knowledge and skills (including using Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook). Prior experience working with record retrieval companies (e.g., MRO, Ciox) and a law firm document management system is preferred.

This position is full time in the physical office, not remote, but occasional remote working opportunities may be possible in the future.
