Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team in Scottsdale, AZ. The Medical Scribe will assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, allowing providers to focus on patient care. This role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Document patient visits, including history, physical exam, procedures, and treatment plans, in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Assist healthcare providers by accurately capturing clinical information during patient encounters.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation as needed.
  • Stay current with medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR software updates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical setting is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills, including proficiency with EHR systems.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical setting in Scottsdale, AZ. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals during patient visits. The role may require extended periods of sitting and computer use.
