Medical Scribe

Texas Liver Consultants (TLC) is a thriving specialty medical practice with an office in Austin, Texas. We have an opening for a full-time, office-based Medical Scribe who will work collaboratively with our team of dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers.

The Medical Scribe performs all clerical and information technology functions for a physician, including primary responsibility for the operation of electronic health records and electronic dictation systems. Primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the healthcare provider. This position will have no direct involvement in patient care.

The ideal candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, detailed-oriented, punctual and efficient. Strong oral/written skills and an interest in working in a medical office before pursuing an advanced degree in medicine or nursing are highly desirable.

Schedule is full-time weekdays. Candidate must be able to reliably commute to our Austin office.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical/science-related field (required)
• Course in Medical Scribing (preferred)
• Ability to type 90 wpm (highly desirable)
• At least 1 year of Medical Scribing experience (highly desirable)
