Medical Scribe & Clinical Assistant (Bilingual – Spanish Required)

Position Overview
Atlas Neurosurgery and Spine Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scribe & Clinical Assistant to support our physician and clinical team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate medical documentation, optimizing workflow efficiency, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to supporting high-quality patient care. Spanish-English bilingual proficiency is required to help effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient encounters in real time using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Assist physician with clinical documentation, including histories, physical exams, and treatment plans
• Maintain organized, complete, and confidential medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
• Enter and manage data within EMR/EHR systems efficiently; assist with basic troubleshooting as needed
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation
• Assist with Spanish-English translation during patient interactions as needed
• Prepare patients for examinations by collecting preliminary information and updating medical histories
• Collaborate with physician and staff to improve documentation processes and clinic workflow

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required as patient-facing interpretation is expected)
• Prior experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical/medical office/hospital setting strongly preferred
• Exceptional typing, transcription, and attention-to-detail skills
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation workflows
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Emergency room or high-acuity clinical experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality
