Mental Health Worker/Transport Driver

Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician/Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs. As a Mental Health Technician/Transport Driver, you will work closely with consumers to ensure their well-being in a group home setting.

Responsibilities:

-Primary duty will be to assist with patient transports to surrounding psychiatric facilities utilizing agency provided transportation.

- Assist in providing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors. Assist with meal preparation and light cleaning as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and adhere to medication administration protocols.
- Handle crisis situations effectively and follow established crisis management procedures.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to create a supportive environment for patients.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements:

- Must have HS diploma/GED, valid drivers license and insurable driving record

Work Hours:

Typically Monday-Friday 8am-4p but hours could alter to fill in on shifts at group home as needed.

Must-Have Skills:
- Safe Driving Skills.
- Experience in or willing to train in medication administration.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
- Comfort working with individuals with mental illness.
