Mentor - Facilities Management

As a core pillar of our strategic growth and operational excellence roadmap, we are seeking a highly experienced Facilities Management Mentor to lead the development, delivery, and certification of technical training programs while establishing robust Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks across all facilities management services.

This role is well‑suited for highly experienced industry professionals who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of technicians, sharing hands‑on knowledge, and embedding best practices across facilities operations. Part‑time and flexible engagement models are welcome, subject to operational requirements.

The Mentor will play a critical role in upskilling Facilities Management technicians, embedding best practices, and creating a structured competency-based certification system aligned with industry standards and organizational requirements. This role will work closely with senior management, the Property Management Team, Facilities Management Team, and external maintenance service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Mentoring, Training & Technician Development

  • Design, develop, and deliver structured technical training programs for Facilities Management technicians, covering preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Act as a Master Mentor and Technical Coach, providing hands-on guidance, on-the-job mentoring, and continuous performance feedback to technicians and service partners.
  • Identify skill gaps and competency requirements, and implement targeted upskilling and reskilling initiatives.
  • Develop training manuals, SOPs, toolkits, and assessment materials aligned with operational realities and best practices.
  • Support the creation of a knowledge-sharing culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development within Facilities Management teams.

Quality Assurance Programs & Technician Certification

  • Establish and implement Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks to standardize service delivery, workmanship quality, and compliance across all facilities operations.
  • Design and manage a competency-based technician certification program, linking training outcomes to measurable skill assessments and certification levels.
  • Define certification criteria, evaluation methods, and re-certification requirements to ensure ongoing technical competency.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to validate compliance with QA standards and certification benchmarks.
  • Ensure QA systems are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.

Strategic Oversight & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate existing facilities management processes, workflows, and service models, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate QA and training outcomes into operational KPIs and performance management systems.
  • Analyze recurring technical issues and failures, and introduce preventive training and process controls to mitigate risks.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Conflict Resolution

  • Serve as a technical authority and neutral advisor to mediate and resolve technical or quality-related disputes between internal teams and external service providers.
  • As part of Human Resources, work cross-functionally with IT, Facilities Management, and senior leadership to embed quality and training standards across the service lifecycle.
  • Support vendor evaluations by assessing technician competency, training compliance, and QA adherence.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Facilities Management, with a strong background in technical training, mentoring, and quality assurance leadership.
  • Retired professionals and senior industry experts are encouraged to apply, particularly those with a strong mentoring and knowledge‑transfer mindset.
  • Open to part‑time, advisory, or flexible working
  • Deep hands-on knowledge across core FM disciplines, with proven experience in developing and implementing training and QA systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to design structured training programs and technician certification frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail with a systematic approach to audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to mentor technicians, influence stakeholders, and report to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (highly preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
