MEP Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Estimation Engineer with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for construction projects, including villas and commercial developments. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and pre- and post-tendering processes within the UAE market, specifically Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing)
• Handle pre-tendering and post-tendering activities
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Perform quantity take-offs for MEP systems
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs
• Coordinate with Procurement for supplier quotations and evaluation
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Conduct cost analysis, pricing, and value engineering
• Identify risks, variations, and cost-saving opportunities
• Support project budgeting and feasibility studies
• Utilize ERP systems for estimation, cost tracking, and reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in MEP estimation
• Mandatory UAE/GCC experience (preferably in Abu Dhabi)
• Strong experience in villas and commercial projects
• Expertise in MEP costing, BOQ preparation, and tendering processes
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
