Job Description:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project stakeholders to design, develop, and implement MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) for both new and existing buildings.
- Perform detailed technical calculations to determine building loads, system capacities, and equipment sizing in compliance with international standards and local codes.
- Select and specify appropriate MEP equipment, materials, and systems that align with project requirements, sustainability goals, and energy efficiency standards.
- Develop and review MEP design drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software).
- Ensure proper coordination of MEP systems with structural and architectural components to avoid design conflicts and rework.
- Review and approve subcontractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Conduct periodic site inspections and quality audits to verify proper installation of MEP systems as per approved drawings and standards.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover processes, ensuring all systems operate effectively and meet performance requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to project teams during design, construction, and post-handover stages.
- Stay updated on latest MEP technologies, green building practices, and regulatory changes, recommending innovative solutions where applicable.
- Contribute to the development of company MEP engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 8 -10 years of relevant experience in MEP design, coordination, and site supervision for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems with hands-on experience in execution and commissioning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other design/simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of international codes and local building regulations related to MEP works.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Age between 35 -40 years preferred.
- Valid driving license is required.
- Strong leadership qualities, adaptable personality, and a flexible approach to work.
