MEP Site Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Site Supervision
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) site activities.
- Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Coordinate installation of HVAC, electrical, firefighting, ELV, and plumbing systems.
2. Drawings & Technical Coordination
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Identify clashes between MEP services and civil/architectural works and coordinate resolutions.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with local authority requirements and project standards.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.
- Conduct inspections and ensure rectification of defects or non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with approved method statements and ITPs.
4. Planning & Scheduling
- Plan daily and weekly MEP activities in coordination with the Project Engineer/Manager.
- Monitor progress and report delays or issues affecting project timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works.
5. Coordination with Stakeholders
- Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and subcontractors for approvals and inspections.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs related to MEP works.
- Coordinate authority inspections and ensure readiness for approvals.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Supervise testing, commissioning, and balancing of MEP systems.
- Ensure systems function as per design and performance criteria.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure closure before handover.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
7. Material & Resource Management
- Monitor material deliveries and ensure proper storage and usage on site.
- Verify materials against approved submittals and specifications.
- Coordinate manpower deployment and productivity.
8. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe working practices.
- Report and assist in resolving safety incidents or hazards.
9. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site records, inspection reports, and progress updates.
- Prepare technical reports and assist in monthly progress reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation for inspections, approvals, and handover.
10. Problem Solving & Technical Support
- Identify technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Support project team in value engineering and cost-effective solutions.
- Assist in resolving site coordination challenges efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
