We are seeking a skilled and experienced Merchandiser with a strong background in knitwear to manage order execution, coordinate with customers and production teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality garments. The ideal candidate will act as a key link between the customer and factory, ensuring smooth communication and efficient order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and submit product samples as per customer requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate with buyers/customers to understand order details, technical requirements, and timelines.
- Act as a bridge between the customer and internal departments (production, quality, sourcing, etc.).
- Monitor order progress from sampling to final shipment, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Follow up on orders regularly to ensure smooth execution and resolve any issues proactively.
- Liaise with production teams to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, approvals, and communications.
- Coordinate with sourcing/procurement for timely availability of raw materials and trims.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Graduate) in a relevant field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in the garment industry, preferably in knitwear.
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, especially knitwear.
- Experience in handling international clients/buyers is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent follow-up and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong negotiation and customer handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Knowledge of fabric, trims, and garment costing will be an advantage.
