Mobile Crane Operator – (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

A Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for operating mobile hydraulic cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials safely and efficiently at construction, industrial, or logistics sites across Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The operator ensures compliance with UAE safety standards, company procedures, and equipment manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Crane Operation:

• Operate mobile cranes (25T–500T or as specified) for lifting and rigging operations.
• Conduct pre-operation checks, daily inspections, and ensure crane readiness.
• Determine load weights, lifting capacities, radius, and boom angles before operation.
• Position crane safely and stabilize it using outriggers as required.
• Maneuver loads with precision as instructed by riggers or lifting supervisors.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow UAE safety regulations, including Abu Dhabi Municipality, ADNOC, EHS-Trakhees, or client-specific HSE standards.
• Strictly adhere to LOTO, tag-out procedures, and site safety rules.
• Ensure all lifts are executed according to the approved Lifting Plan.
• Report any defects, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Maintenance & Equipment Care:

• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure crane cleanliness and proper storage after work.
• Record operation hours, inspections, and maintenance logs.

Coordination & Communication:

• Work closely with the Rigger, Banksman, and Lifting Supervisor.
• Use hand signals, radios, and communication tools effectively.
• Assist in planning lifting operations when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle License (Category 7 or as required).
• Valid Mobile Crane Operator Certificate approved by: TADBEER/RTA, TAW-J/ADM or Recognized Training Institutes.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating mobile cranes (GCC or UAE preferred).
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices and load chart interpretation.
• Ability to work under heat conditions and in high-risk environments.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Hydraulic cranes, All-terrain cranes, Rough-terrain cranes.
• Experience with construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, and port operations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
