Job Purpose:
The Material Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of materials and components required to maintain uninterrupted production The role focuses on balancing material shortages and optimal inventory levels to support operational efficiency while controlling costs
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create purchase requisitions in line with production requirements
- Review MRP views in SAP to monitor material planning and requirements
- Follow up with the Purchasing Department on the procurement cycle of materials
- Validate changes in part numbers and material codes
- Review sales order configurations and expected production dates
- Coordinate with the Spare Parts Department regarding transferred materials
- Liaise with the Planning Department on any updates to the production plan
- Coordinate with the Technology Department regarding Bill of Materials (BOM) changes
- Communicate with the Engineering Department regarding new configurations
- Coordinate Production Control on out-of-cycle loading requirements
- Check with Storekeepers regarding stock quantity adjustments
- Follow up with the Quality Department to release blocked stock to unrestricted inventory
- Coordinate with the Production Department to resolve shortages or missing data
- Liaise with the Loading Department regarding universal batch loading
- Follow up on all factory claims related to materials
- Monitor the status of blocked stock and ensure regular updates
- Track and monitor inventory value levels
- Prepare reports related to air freight and expediting costs
- Perform any additional tasks as required by business needs
Job Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge
- MRP and inventory management principles
- Bill of Materials (BOM) and production planning processes
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial/Production, Automotive, Energy & Renewable Energy, or Aeronautical Engineering
3-5 Years of Relevant Experience
