Role

Delivering high quality creative work and campaigns against client briefs using conceptual thinking and expert technical skills. Start shaping a good understanding of the earned-first approach, combined with the ability to craft designs with impactful results.

Client
  • Create high-quality visual designs and do the best work that improves client business.
  • Able to interrogate the brief and challenge it.
  • Able to develop and present key visuals, design directions or small campaigns with limited guidance from Art Directors or Senior Art Directors.
  • Start building strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts and ideas to clients and agency team members.
  • Proactive approach to understanding and learning client business and industry.
  • Constantly considering all aspects of content creation - imagery, tonality, pace, messaging, etc.
  • Ability to understand and design social content, with a firm understanding of social media trends, strategy, and effectiveness.
  • Be able to confidently attend and contribute to client meetings, events, or small shoots.
Commercial
  • Start building a small / medium scale production experience.
  • Support the senior team on large campaigns / new business opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of the scope of deliverables.
  • Work to a schedule, be able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to manage small projects / retainers in partnership with agency teams.
  • Spotting opportunities for organic growth.
People + Culture
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with your line manager and the different teams, including copywriters, marketers, and other designers to achieve creative excellence.
  • Support the team in creating a fun and creative environment.
  • Give workshops to other team members.
  • Being able to line manage and guide interns, graduates, or junior designers.
  • Provide and receive feedback to continuously improve designs and achieve project objectives.
  • Act as a H+K ambassador internally and externally.
Technical
  • Technical understanding of current and emerging social media platforms.
  • Full understanding of Adobe suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Full understanding of Adobe suites (After Effects and Premiere for multimedia designers).
  • Ability to design in PowerPoint and across Microsoft Office suite.

  • Establish a sector or discipline or specialism area of expertise, and seek to continually upskill in this area and share expertise across the Studio.
