NATIONAL SALES MANAGER (PAINTS & COATING)

Job Title: National Sales Manager – Paint & Coatings

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across the country. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the paint and coatings industry and a proven track record of building high-performance sales teams and growing market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy for decorative, industrial, projects, institutional and automotive paint product lines
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a nationwide team of regional sales managers and representatives
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, key accounts, and distribution channels (retail, B2B, contractors, OEMs)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, paint contractors, architects, and specifiers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics in the paint & coatings sector
  • Set and achieve annual sales targets, budgets, and KPIs
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align on go-to-market strategies
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance reviews for senior leadership

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 10–15 years of sales experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior/national sales role within the paint, coatings, or chemical industry
  • Deep understanding of paint product categories: decorative, protective, industrial, wood coatings, etc.
  • Established network with distributors, dealers, and key accounts in the paint sector
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office
