About the Role
We are looking for a driven and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across the country. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the paint and coatings industry and a proven track record of building high-performance sales teams and growing market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy for decorative, industrial, projects, institutional and automotive paint product lines
- Lead, mentor, and manage a nationwide team of regional sales managers and representatives
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, key accounts, and distribution channels (retail, B2B, contractors, OEMs)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, paint contractors, architects, and specifiers
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics in the paint & coatings sector
- Set and achieve annual sales targets, budgets, and KPIs
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align on go-to-market strategies
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance reviews for senior leadership
Requirements
- Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 10–15 years of sales experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior/national sales role within the paint, coatings, or chemical industry
- Deep understanding of paint product categories: decorative, protective, industrial, wood coatings, etc.
- Established network with distributors, dealers, and key accounts in the paint sector
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office
