Network Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong understanding of various networking technologies and protocols, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. The Network Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support our organization's IT needs.

Duties

• Design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Configure and support remote access software to facilitate secure connections for remote users.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using various diagnostic tools.
• Ensure the security of the network by implementing best practices for firewall configurations and access controls.
• Collaborate with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure network compatibility.
• Utilize shell scripting for automation of repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in network management.
• Maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and policies.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Candidate must have at least five years of Proven experience in network administration and support.
• Familiarity with AWS services and their integration into existing networks is a plus.
• Proficiency in FTP/SFTP protocols for secure file transfers.
• Strong knowledge of VPN technologies for secure remote access solutions.
• Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualification:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, or AWS Certified Networking.
• Technical Skills:
• Deep understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
• Knowledge of network security practices and technologies (e.g., VPN, IPS/IDS).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SDN technologies.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and lead network-related projects.
