News Ticker Operator

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented News Ticker Operator to join our Digital Media team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for updating, formatting, and monitoring on-air ticker content to ensure timely and accurate delivery of breaking news, headlines, and real-time updates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage on-air news ticker systems during live broadcasts.
• Update headlines, time, weather, and breaking news information in real-time.
• Coordinate with news producers, reporters, and editorial staff for ticker content.
• Ensure accuracy, correct grammar, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
• Monitor ticker display for technical or content errors and make corrections instantly.
• Maintain archives of ticker content and assist in newsroom operations when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field).
• Prior experience in a news channel or broadcast environment preferred.
• Strong command of written English and Urdu.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and during live transmissions.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends.
