Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver

CK Transports, is hiring Non medical transportation Drivers, to drive in Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, Norfolk and Chesapeake Virginia. We are required to provide passengers with safe, friendly transportation with vehicles designed for wheelchairs, stretchers and other special equipments. This position focuses on non-emergency medical transportation, but we welcome candidates with experience in customer service, home health-care, and providing high-quality patient or other care. Responsibilities:
The ability to transport passengers throughout the Hampton Roads Virginia, areas in a safe and courteous manner
Greet passengers, ensure fare payment and maintain a safe environment. shifts assigned based on business need: 5 AM or 5 PM weekdays, and some Saturdays (rotating) Each employee will be required to work requested shifts, which includes weekdays, evenings, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old or older with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Must have a clean driving record in VA
Must be able to provide a 5-year certified driving record – this can be obtained by your local Motor Vehicle Authority, or your driving record can be printed at our facility for a small fee

Must submit to drug testing, an extensive criminal background check
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
Must be punctual with an emphasis on your attendance
Must be able to work in all types of weather
Must be able to complete driver training/pass certification
Physical Requirements Include Ability to:
Sit for extended periods of time
Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects, or equipment above shoulder level without assistance
Move up and down stairs easily
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
