Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and provide updates.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all driving activities.
• Perform pre-trip inspections to identify any vehicle issues before departure and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for wheelchair-bound or mobility-impaired passengers, ensuring proper securement equipment is used.

Requirements

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar commercial driving roles such as limousine or school bus driving.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL or <PERSON> driver license).
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Ability to perform light maintenance checks and handle basic vehicle troubleshooting.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist passengers with mobility challenges.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
