NY Private Credit Of Counsel

Paul Hastings is seeking an Of Counsel with 7+ years of experience to join their Chambers’ ranked Band 1: Private Credit group in New York.

The Private Credit team represents diverse clients focused predominantly on private credit funds and business development companies (BDCs), but also including some banks, financial institutions, and CLOs. The team works at all levels of the capital stack and regularly assists a number of household name investor clients on direct lending matters, ranging from lower-middle market to middle-market transactions all the way through large-cap and syndicated financings. The team’s experience spans all market cycles and demonstrates an ability to navigate complex financial issues and provide immediate value to clients.

Candidates must have significant experience in leveraged finance, handling sophisticated, high-end direct lending matters including acquisition financings and sponsor-backed LBOs. Law firm experience and admission to the New York State bar is required. Please submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and deal sheet.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $460,000 and a maximum of $650,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
