Hiring: Ocean Consolidation, Pricing & Operations Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Ocean Consolidation, Pricing & Operations Manager to lead and optimize ocean freight consolidation, pricing strategies, and operational performance. The role will oversee both FCL and LCL shipments , ensuring competitive market pricing, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Ocean Freight Consolidation & Operations

• Manage LCL consolidation/deconsolidation and FCL operations for import & export.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas partners for space & schedules.
• Oversee bookings, documentation, container stuffing, and customs processing.
• Monitor container utilization, vessel schedules & transit performance.

Pricing & Rate Management

• Develop competitive pricing strategies for FCL/LCL services.
• Negotiate freight rates & contracts with carriers/NVOCCs/co-loaders.
• Maintain & update pricing database and ensure timely quotations.
• Analyze market trends to optimize cost & pricing decisions.

Customer Support & Collaboration

• Provide timely quotations and solutions to sales & key clients.
• Support business development for client retention & onboarding.
• Resolve shipment delays, demurrage, and rate concerns.
• Ensure proactive communication & exceptional customer experience.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations & INCOTERMS.
• Oversee B/L issuance, manifests & documentation accuracy.
• Liaise with customs brokers, port authorities & government bodies.
• Implement SOPs for document control and operational reporting.

Cost & Performance Optimization

• Control operational costs to achieve revenue & margin goals.
• Monitor KPIs for booking accuracy, consolidation turnaround, and pricing efficiency.
• Enhance operational processes & system utilization (ERP/TMS).

Team Development

• Lead and mentor operations, pricing & documentation teams.
• Conduct training on trade lanes, pricing, and ocean freight processes.
• Collaborate with regional and global logistics teams.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (Supply Chain / Business preferred).
• 3–5+ years in ocean freight, pricing & consolidation.
• Strong network with carriers, co-loaders & NVOCCs.
• Experience in LCL & FCL operations and rate negotiations.
• Hands-on with ERP/TMS systems (CargoWise, SAP TM, Descartes).
• Deep knowledge of INCOTERMS, HS Codes & customs procedures.
