Officer Administration (Factory)

Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited is a multi business organization spread over four campuses with over 500 employees. We are currently inviting applications from dynamic individuals whose values align with ours for the position of Officer Administration (Factory).

This position will be reporting to the Manager Administration and HR (Factory). Standard (not exhaustive) requirements of the position are listed below:

Job Description

  • Manage all administrative activities at the factory, such as maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring proper functioning of fire-fighting apparatus for use during emergencies, and making arrangements for serving tea and refreshments to staff and guests visiting the factory, etc.
  • Arrange travel, boarding, and lodging for all guests visiting the factory, and manage the affairs of the guest house.
  • Handle procurement of office supplies, kitchen items, and general maintenance requirements.
  • Supervise administrative staff and horticulture activities, ensuring efficient task allocation and execution.
  • Take timely action on charge sheets, disciplinary actions, inquiries, and issuance of show cause notices to employees.
  • Implement company policies, maintain discipline, and report incidents while guiding employees on rules and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal files, medical, insurance, and claims documentation.
  • Manage attendance, leave, overtime, and related payroll inputs for factory employees.
  • Ensure accurate HR records and compliance by coordinating employee data for statutory bodies and insurance eligibility.
  • Manage employee onboarding and payroll processes while ensuring compliance with labor laws and overseeing the maintenance of factory and residential facilities.
  • Liaise with workers for communicating their grievances and suggestions to management.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Manager Administration and HR at the factory.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and support audits/inspections.
  • Oversee employee transport, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage (if applicable).
  • Monitor vendor performance, renew contracts, and ensure service quality.
  • Coordinate internally with all department personnel at the factory for matters related to administration, HR and Administration department personnel at the Head Office
  • Coordinate internally wiith external and internal auditors for audit purposes, regulatory authorities, local community including police, labor, SITE officials, etc.
