Job Description

CEG International is seeking an experienced OHS Engineer to support occupational health and safety management across building and construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company safety policies while promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures on project sites
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, project requirements, and international HSE standards
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Develop and review method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and prepare corrective action reports
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training
• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants on safety matters
• Participate in internal and external audits and authority inspections
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities

Requirements

• Education: BSc, BEng, BA, or equivalent qualification
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification (mandatory)
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training or equivalent (mandatory)
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as an OHS / HSE Engineer
• Strong experience in building and construction projects
• Knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices
• Consultancy experience is preferred
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills

• Candidates currently available in Qatar
• Experience working on consultancy-led or large-scale projects
