Job Purpose

The Operation Manager is responsible for overall business performance, including strategy execution, operations, financial results, people management, and compliance. The OM ensures sustainable growth, operational excellence, and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company vision
  • Translate strategic goals into operational plans
  • Identify growth opportunities, risks, and market trends
  • Lead change management and continuous improvement initiatives

2. Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments
  • Ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality standards
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence

3. Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • Control costs and optimize profitability
  • Review financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)
  • Approve major expenditures and contracts
  • Ensure strong internal controls

4. People & Leadership Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop senior management and department heads
  • Ensure effective workforce planning and talent development
  • Promote a high-performance culture
  • Oversee HR policies including recruitment, performance management, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws (e.g., Bahrain Labour Law, if applicable)

5. Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Manage business risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure ethical standards and corporate governance practices

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Represent the company with key stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and authorities
  • Maintain strong relationships with partners and government entities
  • Report business performance to the Board/Owners

7. Sales & Business Development (if applicable)

  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Approve pricing strategies and key commercial deals
  • Support major client negotiations and partnerships

Authority & Decision-Making

  • Full authority over operational decisions
  • Budget and expenditure approval within assigned limits
  • Hiring and termination decisions for senior roles
  • Policy implementation and enforcement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field
  • MBA or equivalent is an advantage
  • 10–15+ years of progressive management experience
  • Proven experience in senior leadership or OM role
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
