Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our cafés across the Western region, with a focus on Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur and nearby cities. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth functioning, consistent service standards, operational excellence, and a superior customer experience across all café outlets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of F&B operations, and the ability to manage multiple locations while maintaining the brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Operations & Service Coordination

  • Supervise day-to-day activities across multiple cafés, including kitchen, floor service, cashiering, and delivery coordination.
  • Ensure timely preparation, quality, and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Address escalated customer concerns promptly to guarantee a positive dining experience.
  • Standardize operations across all outlets to maintain brand consistency.

2. Inventory & Procurement Support

  • Monitor and control stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and consumables across cafés in the region.
  • Coordinate with the central Purchase & Supply Chain team for timely replenishment and vendor negotiations.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, wastage analysis, and maintain updated inventory systems to reduce costs and avoid pilferage.
  • Implement region-specific sourcing strategies to optimize costs while ensuring quality.

3. Staff Support & Coordination

  • Assist in staff scheduling, rostering, and manpower allocation across multiple outlets.
  • Ensure café staff adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), grooming, and service standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Drive performance management, motivation, and retention strategies to build a strong team culture.

4. Hygiene, Cleanliness & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to FSSAI standards and internal hygiene protocols across all cafés.
  • Conduct regular cleanliness inspections of kitchens, floors, and storage facilities.
  • Oversee food safety audits and staff training on hygiene practices.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures to safeguard staff and customers.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales, expenses, inventory, wastage logs, and attendance reports.
  • Provide analytical inputs on café performance, P&L reports, and regional cost efficiencies.
  • Support the senior management team in preparing performance dashboards, MIS reports, and expansion feasibility studies.

6.Customer Service & Experience

  • Continuously monitor customer feedback (online and offline) to identify improvement areas.
  • Ensure the café ambiance, music, and aesthetics are consistent with the Xpanse brand identity.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Supervise marketing/promotional campaigns at the outlet level to boost customer engagement.

7. Regional Oversight & Expansion

  • Oversee smooth functioning of cafés in Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, and other Western regional locations.
  • Conduct periodic visits to outlets to audit operations, ensure compliance, and resolve challenges.
  • Act as the primary liaison between regional cafés and the central Operations team.
  • Support business expansion by conducting location feasibility studies, market analysis, and competitor benchmarking in Western India.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of café/QSR operations and F&B industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage multi-location operations with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset for cost optimization and performance improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently across assigned regions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in café/restaurant operations, preferably in a multi-outlet management role.
  • Proven track record of handling operations across multiple cities/regions.
  • Familiarity with FSSAI guidelines and compliance requirements.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
