We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager / Assistant Manager – Operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain and production processes, reduce lead times, and strengthen cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in order-to-delivery workflows (currently 45+ days) and reduce lead times.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies.
- Production Planning & Resource Allocation
- Develop and manage production schedules for 300+ custom products.
- Optimize utilization of materials, machines, and skilled labor.
- Prioritize orders and manage inevitable changes in requirements.
- Quality Management
- Establish and oversee quality control systems to meet ISO standards and client specifications.
- Proactively reduce defects through training and data-driven problem solving.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely raw material availability.
- Implement ERP/MRP systems to track and balance material flow with cost efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Build, train, and manage teams across factory, stores, QC, and dispatch.
- Close knowledge gaps and drive a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Define and track KPIs such as On-Time Delivery, Cycle Time, First-Pass Yield, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Generate MIS reports to monitor performance and drive decision-making.
Essential Experience
- Proven success in high-mix, low-volume or custom manufacturing environments.
- Track record of reducing order-to-delivery lead times with measurable results.
- Strong exposure to , Tally ERP/MRP systems (implementation or daily use).
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, and vendor management.
- Hands-on knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement tools.
- Strong leadership skills in team training, development, and change management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial / Production) or Business (Operations / Supply Chain).
- MBA (Operations / Supply Chain) preferred.
- Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- APICS CPIM (Production & Inventory Management)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
