Operations Manager (Optical Lens Manufacturing Industry), Puthukadai

• Production Oversight: To oversee the entire lens manufacturing process, which includes surfacing, polishing, coating, and edging. This involves setting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and ensuring they are met.
• Quality Control: To implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure every lens meets industry standards and customer specifications. They should be responsible for leading efforts to reduce defects and improve product quality.
• Process Improvement: Continuous analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.
• Team Management: Leading, motivating, and managing a team of production supervisors, technicians, and factory workers. This includes staffing, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Equipment and Maintenance: Ensuring all optical manufacturing equipment, such as generators, polishers, and coating machines, is well-maintained and calibrated. To plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Supply Chain and Inventory: Collaborating with procurement and logistics teams to manage raw material inventory (lens blanks, coatings, etc.) and ensure a steady supply to avoid production delays.
• Budgeting and Financials: Managing the operational budget for the factory, which includes monitoring costs related to labor, materials, and equipment. To analyze financial reports to ensure the factory is operating within budget and contributing to profitability.
• Health and Safety: Enforcing strict health and safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all employees, ensuring compliance with all local and national regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

• Lean manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
• Operations management: 5 years (Preferred)
