Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all operational activities related to power generator systems, including assembly/manufacturing, testing, logistics, installation support, and after-sales coordination. The role ensures operational efficiency, quality compliance, cost control, and on-time delivery while supporting sales and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Production Management

• Oversee daily operations of generator assembly, manufacturing, and testing (diesel, gas, hybrid gensets).
• Develop and implement production plans aligned with sales forecasts and project schedules.
• Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and final inspection of generators before dispatch.
• Monitor workflow efficiency, manpower utilization, and equipment productivity.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement for engines, alternators, control panels, ATS, and accessories.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operations while minimizing excess stock.
• Coordinate logistics, delivery schedules, and site mobilization for projects.

Quality, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, ISO procedures, and local authority regulations.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control processes across operations.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards within workshops and project sites.

Cost Control & Operational Efficiency

• Control operational budgets and monitor expenses against approved targets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and supervise production, service, logistics, and technical teams.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support training and skill development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Project & Customer Support

• Coordinate with Sales and Projects teams on production capacity, delivery timelines, and technical requirements.
• Support project execution, installation, and commissioning activities as required.
• Address operational issues, customer concerns, and escalation matters promptly.

Reporting & Strategic Support

• Prepare operational reports covering KPIs, production output, efficiency, and risks.
• Provide management with insights on capacity planning, expansion, and operational strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• 7–12 years of experience in the power generator or power solutions industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel/gas generators, alternators, ATS, control systems, and load testing.
• Proven experience managing operations in manufacturing, assembly, rental, or EPC environments.
• Strong leadership and operational planning skills
• Solid understanding of generator systems and power solutions
• Budgeting, cost control, and process optimization expertise
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/operations management systems
