Optometric Technician/Front Desk Receptionist (optometric experience preferred)

Westside Family Eyecare is Hiring an Optometric Technician/Front Desk Receptionist!

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional technician to join our team. This dynamic role will involve a variety of responsibilities to ensure our office runs smoothly and our patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check in patients and verify personal and insurance information
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Conduct pre-tests for patients as needed
  • Schedule appointments, manage voicemail, and prepare patient charts
  • Handle insurance verifications and authorizations
  • Schedule specialty referrals and coordinate appointments
  • Greet and welcome patients upon arrival
  • Send appointment reminders to patients
  • Train for lab duties and assisting with eyewear sales as part of your professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Optical experience is preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoing, flexible, and a team player with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in computer use; experience with Compulink Software is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential

Additional Information:

  • Medical insurance is not offered at this time
  • Paid holidays are available after a 90-day review period
  • We are a smoke-free office environment
  • Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
