We are seeking an experienced Oracle Core DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard with FSFO, Golden Gate, and OEM, along with excellent customer-handling skills. This role requires the ability to work under high-pressure environments, manage escalations, and ensure high availability and performance of databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration & Operations
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) in standalone and RAC environments.
- Manage and support Oracle Data Guard configurations including Fast-Start Failover (FSFO).
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Ensure database high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Monitoring & Automation
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c.
- Proactively monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and OEM features.
Performance & Tuning
- Perform advanced performance tuning at database, SQL, and instance levels.
- Analyze AWR, ASH, ADDM reports and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, memory, and I/O performance.
Replication & Integration
- Implement, configure, and support Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data replication.
- Troubleshoot replication lag, data conflicts, and performance issues.
Incident & Customer Management
- Act as a primary escalation point for critical production issues.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, explaining technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work effectively under pressure in 24x7 production support environments.
- Participate in on-call and manage critical outages with urgency and accuracy.
Security & Compliance
- Implement database security best practices including user management, auditing, encryption, and backups.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Experience Level: 7 to 10+ years
