ORAL SURGEON

Our dental practice located In Mission Viejo, is looking for an Oral Surgeon (Board‑Certified or General Dentist with Oral Surgery Focus) to work one or two days a month.

Practice Description

• A busy, well‑equipped dental practice serving Mission Viejo and surrounding communities.
• Modern surgical suite on site.
• Full support staff, including surgical assistants, sterile processing, and administrative support.
• Strong network of referring specialists: general dentists, periodontists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform oral surgery procedures, including but not limited to:
• Tooth extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth)
• Dental implants and bone grafting
• Minor/maxillofacial surgeries as needed
• Manage facial trauma, cysts, biopsies, etc.
• Provide pre‑op and post‑op care and patient follow‑ups.
• Administer or supervise sedation / anesthesia (IV / general / sedation as applicable).
• Interpret diagnostic imaging (X‑rays, CBCT) for surgical planning.
• Collaborate with other dental specialists and referring dentists.
• Maintain patient records, comply with all regulatory/safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree.
• Board certification or Board eligibility in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery OR a General Dentist with extensive training/experience in oral surgery.
• Valid California dental license.
• Strong surgical skills and confidence performing a wide range of oral surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication, patient care and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with staff and in a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Percentage, 50% production based model
