Orthodontic Assistant (Monday and Tuesday in Pekin office, Wednesday and Thursday in Peoria office (Full time, 28-36 hours per week). Part time is also possible.

Cusack Orthodontics is looking for an orthodontic assistant to join our team! We are seeking a fun, energetic, and motivated individual. Applicant must be professional and able to multi task. Must be dependable, a team player, great with patients (and parents), honest and trustworthy. Dental experience is preferred but will train the right individual. Applicant must love working with children & adults, have a mature and positive personality, and thrive in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of Orthodontic Assistant:

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
• Guide parents and patients through our processes before treatment
• Educate patients in oral hygiene instruction and other orthodontic instructions
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures, clean chairs, etc
• Assist with orthodontic adjustments – change wires, replace ties, bond brackets, etc
• Sterilize and package instruments
• Take diagnostic records – X-rays, impressions, intraoral photographs, etc
• Educates patients on oral hygiene and other orthodontic instructions
• Can include anything related to the normal operations of an orthodontic practice

Qualifications of Orthodontic Assistant:

• Continuous and quick learner
• Hours and location (Peoria or Pekin) negotiable
• Dental experience a huge plus but will train the right individual
• Demonstrates initiative
