Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Packaging Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost calculations for packaging projects, analyzing materials, labor, and production costs, and ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements, packaging specifications, and design details to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, printing, finishing, labor, and overhead costs for custom packaging projects.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure realistic and competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain costing templates, pricing models, and databases of raw material and supplier costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
• Provide timely and accurate quotations for client inquiries and tenders.
• Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and competitor pricing to ensure competitiveness.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and support management in pricing strategy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, profitability targets, and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (2–4 years) in cost estimation, preferably in packaging, printing, or manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimation tools/software.
• Good knowledge of packaging materials (paperboard, corrugated, rigid boxes, etc.) and production processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
