We are hiring a Painter with experience in preparing, painting, and finishing wooden furniture surfaces. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, experienced in using various types of paints and finishes (such as lacquer, polyurethane, and stains), and capable of delivering consistent, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surface Preparation

· Prepare various surfaces including wood, metal, drywall, and masonry by sanding, scraping, filling, and cleaning.

· Remove old paint, rust, or finish as needed.

· Tape, mask, and cover areas to protect surfaces not being painted.

2. Painting & Finishing

· Apply paint, stain, varnish, lacquer, enamel, epoxy, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

· Work on a wide range of surfaces including:

o Furniture pieces

o Interior walls

o Doors, windows, and trim

o Ceilings and partitions

o Metal structures or frames

3. Furniture Finishing

· Apply finishing coats on wood furniture, including stains, sealers, and topcoats.

· Match or mix colors to meet specific design requirements or client expectations.

· Perform touch-ups, repairs, and refinishing of damaged furniture items.

4. Decorative & Specialty Work

· Apply textured coatings, faux finishes, or artistic effects as needed.

· Work with wallpaper, wall panels, or Stencil (if applicable).

5. Maintenance & Equipment

· Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment such as spray guns, compressors, brushes, and rollers.

· Ensure proper storage of materials and safe handling of hazardous substances.

· Report equipment issues and ensure all tools are used safely and correctly.

6. Team Collaboration

· Work closely with carpenters, project managers, designers, and other painters to complete projects on time and to specification.

· Coordinate painting tasks in multi-phase construction or manufacturing workflows.

Qualifications:

· Skilled in using spray guns, paint brushes, rollers, and other finishing tools.

· Knowledge of different finishing materials (paint, stain, lacquer, varnish, etc.).

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Understanding of color matching and surface preparation techniques.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.

· High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,200.00 per month
