Paralegal / Docketing

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide critical legal support to attorneys in active litigation matters. This role will focus on managing filings across county, state, and federal courts, preparing trial materials, and overseeing docketing and calendaring deadlines. The Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate legal document preparation and case management, supporting the overall efficiency of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and manage court documents in county, state, and federal jurisdictions.
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and format motions, depositions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and maintain trial binders and related trial support materials.
  • Manage docketing responsibilities, including calendaring deadlines, hearings, and court dates.
  • Monitor, interpret, and act on docketing notifications to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure cases are properly prepared for litigation and trial.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required (ABA-approved program preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in complex litigation.
  • Prior experience with county, state, and federal filings essential.

Special Requirements

  • Knowledge of e-filing systems across multiple jurisdictions (state and federal).
  • Familiarity with litigation docketing software and calendaring tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and legal procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong drafting and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys and support staff.

Additional Desired Characteristics

  • Experience preparing for trial in complex litigation matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate attorney and case needs proactively.
  • Prior experience supporting senior trial attorneys in high-volume cases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
