Part Time Remote Tax Manager

THE ROLE - As Tax Manager, you will be the primary contact for a portfolio of small business clients, leading tax strategy, overseeing tax return preparation, and guiding our bookkeeping team throughout the year. This is a high-impact part-time role, approximately 10-20 hours per week, with the flexibility to grow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner with the tax partner to develop proactive tax strategies that maximize savings for clients.Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns with a high level of technical accuracy. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; building trust, identifying their needs, and delivering excellent service. Stay current on federal and state tax law changes; identify planning opportunities and manage risk proactively. Support and oversee the bookkeeping team on month-end close tasks, financial statement reviews, and occasional client calls. Leverage technology to solve client challenges and optimize our tech stack.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Active CPA license required
- 5+ years in a public accounting firm in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong Excel skills -- pivot tables, data manipulation, and beyond
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating via Slack and Zoom

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
