General Function
Serve as an assistant in the Office of Human Resources, Organizational and Talent Development in support of all training events, promotions, programming, and coordination. Assist with planning, developing, marketing, and implementing professional learning and development (training) programs and engagement events and activities. Manages the University’s employee welcome ambassador (mentoring) program, including ambassador partnerships, scheduling, communication, promotion, and event planning.

Description of Primary Duties
This part-time position will generally work four hours daily, Monday-Friday, with a few monthly alterations. A specific schedule will be determined with the selected candidate.
Manage the University’s employee welcome ambassador (mentoring) program, including ambassador pairings, scheduling, communication, management, record management, promotion, and event planning.

Provide administrative support to successfully coordinate OTD professional development (training) programs. Assists in planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating training and development programs and engagement events.

Maintain OTD websites and manage all social media accounts, including Facebook and X, for marketing and promoting training programs and engagement activities.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to relate to, interact, and partner with members of the University community and off-campus professionals are required.

Experience working with volunteers is preferred. Experience working in Human Resources , Psychology, Event Planning or Management, Communications, or related field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently.

Computer experience required with strong aptitude in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience in graphic design is preferred.

Be creative, able to work independently, a quick learner, be flexible, sensitive and open-minded, and able to function effectively under deadlines.
Knowledge of or the ability to learn Adobe software, including Photoshop and InDesign, is preferred. Knowledge of graphic design or the ability to learn is preferred.

Knowledge of or experience managing websites and social media platforms, including Facebook and X, is preferred.

A writing test is required for applicants selected for interview.
Employment will require a criminal background check at University expense.
