JOB DESCRIPTION
The Partnership & Vendor Management Lead is responsible for managing strategic relationships with vendors, system integrators, technology partners, and service providers supporting TASMU 2.0 delivery. The role ensures that external partners deliver against contractual commitments, architectural and operational standards, and agreed business outcomes across platform capabilities and smart-city initiatives. Working closely with product, project, architecture, procurement, legal, and operations teams, the role drives vendor governance, performance management, commercial alignment, and issue resolution. The position also supports partnership development, identifies opportunities for reuse and collaboration, and ensures that vendor contributions align with TASMU’s strategic direction, cloud-agnostic principles, and service quality expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end vendor governance model for TASMU 2.0, including operating cadence, review forums, KPIs, obligations, and escalation paths.
- Manage relationships with strategic vendors, SIs, hyperscalers, and technology partners delivering TASMU platform capabilities and services.
- Track vendor delivery performance against contractual milestones, SLAs, quality standards, architecture requirements, and support commitments.
- Coordinate with procurement and legal teams on contract interpretation, change requests, renewals, disputes, and compliance with schedules/addenda.
- Drive cross-vendor coordination for dependencies, integration points, handoffs, and shared responsibilities across multiple workstreams.
- Lead vendor performance reviews, service improvement plans, risk assessments, and corrective action tracking.
- Ensure vendors comply with TASMU governance requirements, including security, data access boundaries, documentation, training, and handover obligations.
- Support evaluation and onboarding of new technology partners, including capability assessment, commercial alignment, and strategic fit.
- Maintain visibility of vendor-related risks, issues, and commercial impacts, and escalate matters to leadership with mitigation options.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, reuse, consolidation, or improved commercial models across TASMU’s partner ecosystem.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong vendor and partner management capability in complex, multi-vendor technology or transformation programs.
- Good understanding of technology delivery contracts, service levels, acceptance criteria, and governance mechanisms.
- Ability to manage commercial, delivery, and relationship dimensions in parallel while maintaining strategic focus.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and performance management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical and operational delivery topics sufficiently to challenge vendors and coordinate with architects/project teams.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills, including executive-level summaries and governance materials.
POTENTIAL BACKGROUND
- 7+ years in vendor management, partner management, commercial delivery, procurement support, or program governance roles.
- Experience working with technology vendors, system integrators, hyperscalers, or managed service providers in enterprise/government/telco environments.
- Familiarity with contract-based delivery models including milestones, service credits, KPIs, and operational support obligations.
- Experience in large digital transformation, platform, cloud, or managed services programs involving multiple external partners.
- Exposure to regulated environments where governance, security, compliance, and formal handover requirements are important.
- Prior experience coordinating with legal, procurement, architecture, and operations stakeholders is highly desirable.
