Patient Engagement Specialist (Prior Authorizations)

Work shift: Night from 6 pm to 3 am

Location: Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.

Education: Any healthcare degree (Pharm D preferred)

Experience: 1+ years of experience in Prior Authorizations is preferred.

Job Description:

- Make calls to insurance companies/submit requests through the online portal to get prior authorization for medications.

- Ensure all the steps are properly documented and followed correctly

- Actively respond to the Auth messages and requests received from the clinic and initiate the request immediately

- Make sure all the STAT orders are prioritized and worked upon within the set timeline

- Ensure all the eligibility and benefits were taken correctly and notes are uploaded to the system

- During the process of verification if authorization is required, need to obtain the authorization and update the authorization document in the system

- Need to check the messages received from the Provider's office to obtain medication authorizations.

- Add all the requests on the CMM Portal and actively follow up and update the statuses of requests.

- Ensuring all Prior Auth forms are sent to the respective PBM.

- Inform the Clinic about Approval/Denial for all mediations Prior Authorization.

- Ensuring all the Medication Prior Authorizations are documented in the provided spreadsheet.

Any other related task by the manager or reporting line.
