Payroll Manager

Overview
Metro Tech Electric Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure the accurate, timely processing of employee compensation. This pivotal role involves overseeing payroll systems, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborating closely with HR and finance teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in payroll management, accounting software proficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our employees. Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 Years Payroll experience.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using advanced payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee data entry of payroll information, including hours worked, benefits deductions, taxes, and other adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure consistency across financial records.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations; prepare and file tax reports accurately.
  • Collaborate with human resources to process benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Generate detailed reports on payroll expenses, employee compensation, and related financial data for management review.
  • Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation related to payroll transactions and account reconciliation.
  • Construction Industry experience (Preferred).

Skills

  • Extensive experience with payroll management software such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or Ceridian.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools; familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Excellent analysis skills for reviewing payroll data and identifying discrepancies or errors.
  • Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing skills).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
