We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Deloitte employees, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.


JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Checking timesheets for accuracy,
  • Process end-to-end payroll for assigned employee groups, including salaried, hourly, expatriate, and contract staff,
  • Review, validate, and input payroll data such as salaries, benefits, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and terminations,
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to gather payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies,
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant tax legislation, social security, and labor law requirements,
  • Manage statutory filings (e.g., tax returns, social contributions) and liaise with external authorities as needed,
  • Prepare payroll reports for management, auditors, and regulatory authorities,
  • Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documentation,
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and statutory deductions with professionalism and confidentiality,
  • Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to optimize payroll operations,
  • Assist in payroll system implementations, updates, and enhancements as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field,
  • 3+ years of proven payroll experience, preferably in a multinational or professional services environment,
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions,
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors or similar ERP platforms) is preferred,
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with reporting and data analysis,
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines,
  • Result oriented with problem solving and analytical approach,
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset,
  • Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data.
